Inland Empire Business Journal – Restaurant Review

Every once in a while, I come across a homey “Mom and Pop” type restaurant, and it happened again last month. (I honestly wish it would happen more often.) Oh yes, the name of the place Spaghetti Eddie’s, located at Foothill Boulevard and Aspen Avenue in Rancho Cucamonga, has been there for years, and I have always passed it by until a friend recently told me to try the place. Now I recommend that you try Spaghetti Eddie’s — you will not be disappointed. Here is my best of the best: Appetizer: Asparagus Parmigiana ($6.49); Clams alla Papa Mio ($10.99). Soups: Pasta Fagioli Soup ($3.99). Pastas: Gnocchi with your choice of Marinara, Meat, Alfredo or Pesto Sauce ($9.49). Pasta Classics and Favorites: Fettuccine Carbonara ($9.49). In all you can pick from (84 Italian items–not counting the many styles of pizza or desserts) with their very, very fair prices, you cannot go wrong. Dinners range from $6.49 to $17.99 (For Veal and Shrimp Piccata)… Take out is available and the restaurant is “children friendly.”

Clarke Mini Phone Book Restaurant Review

The motto at Spaghetti Eddie’s is, “We’re much more than just spaghetti,” and they mean it! In the tradition of New York Italian restaurants, Spaghetti Eddie’s offers a menu of traditional Italian dishes that are typically Sicilian, with an encyclopedic choice of selections from other regions of Italy. The ambiance is comfortable and warm, the dress is casual and the entire staff attends to the tables with efficient and friendly service. The appetizers are tantalizing, from the customer favorite Garlic Puffs to the fresh clams and mussels marinara. The soups are all homemade and the salads are garden fresh. If you prefer to dine early you can take advantage of the Twilight Specials. Other menu highlights include the Nightly Specials and the “Mangia Bene Menu (eat well)” offering several entrees with little or no olive oil, butter or cream. For kids, the “Bambino Menu” is a great value. We wholeheartedly agree with the locals that Spaghetti Eddie’s will not disappoint even the most critical judges of Italian food.

Dear Spaghetti Eddie’s,

Me and my family dined in your restaurant a few days ago, it was our first time eating there. We actually found out about your location from a coupon that a friend passed on to us and on their recommendation we decided to try it out. I have to say, the food was exceptional!

I had the Chicken Marsala and my wife had the Linguine with clam sauce and everything was cooked to perfection. I felt the need to say something because our experience was spectacular and it is not often that we stumble upon an excellent Italian restaurant. Our server Kathie was very sweet and recommended the food we ate, she was very attentive to our needs and even brought out ice cream and sang for my wife at the end of our meal(when I was almost positive that she didn’t hear me whisper that is was my wife’s birthday). From the service to food everything was great, my wife and I were talking about it and I really felt the need to comment.

Please give my compliment to the chef.

Our family moved to Glendora during 1961 and mom and dad lived in the same house until their passing, dad in 2003, mom earlier this year. The sons left home to start their own lives but always made trips back home to visit mom and dad and Spaghetti Eddie’s was always on the list of places to go for a family dining night and the folks and food at Spaghetti Eddie’s never failed to impress.

Unfortunately, with the passing of Mom in March, the son’s roots in Southern California have faded and the home we spent so many years in is now owned by a new family.

Just wanted to express our “Thank You” for the many years of having a place to go for an enjoyable dining experience.
