Eddie’s Spaghetti Eating Contest to Benefit Glendora Education

Food, competition and charity.  Sounds like a winning combination, right?  That is what’s occurring at Spaghetti Eddie’s on Spaghetti Eddie's Eating Contest Set for October 5October 5 to coincide with their 30th anniversary celebration.

Glendora Mayor Karen Davis will go up against Superintendent Dr. Robert Voors in a spaghetti eating contest at the Italian eatery at 4:30 p.m., following a special ribbon cutting and toast with local dignitaries, chambers and other members of the Glendora community.

Guests are welcome get in on the competition and go up against others, in the ½, 1, or 2-lb heat.  Prior registration is recommended. Winners will receive a medal/trophy, a gift certificate and a free spin of the Spaghetti Eddie’s prize wheel for an opportunity at other items, including: wine, Garlic Puffs, gift certificates and more.

One-hundred percent of the proceeds, including entrants’ sign-up fee, and any additional money contributed throughout the evening, will be donated to the Glendora Education Foundation.  The charity is a working group of parents, businesses, and community members devoted to contributing support to the enrichment of every student’s education.

The celebration will occur from 4-8 p.m. with plenty of food specials, giveaways and friendly faces at the restaurant all night long.  The family-owned business will have roll-back prices from 4-9 p.m., including $3.95 Spaghetti, $4.95 Ravioli, and $5.95 Alfredo and Lasagna.
